The rotary range
- Radial lip / oil seals (RSA–RTK families) — NBR 70 Sh standard, garter-spring loaded, for rotary hydraulic motors, pump shafts, gearbox seals and rotary actuators. FKM 75 Sh for hot or aggressive oils; virgin-PTFE lip (RPP, FDA) for high speed, high temperature and near-dry running.
- Bronze-filled PTFE rotary seals (R1T rod, R1U piston) — O-ring energised, 300 bar, 5 m/s — for pressure-holding rotary joints, not just lubricant retention. Change the O-ring for non-mineral-oil media.
- Axial seals (R1B / R9B, VRM01 / VRM02) — coated steel ring plus moulded elastomer, press-fit onto the shaft, no axial stop needed; NBR (−40/+100 °C) or FKM (−30/+180 °C). A secondary dirt/grease barrier alongside the main seal, not a pressure seal.
- V-ring line (V1A / V1S / V1L / V1E) — one-piece, stretches onto the shaft with no bore, seals axially by centrifugal action against contamination. VA standard, S small-diameter/high-speed/low-friction, L for shafts over 300 mm and misalignment, E heavy-duty to 20 m/s. NBR, FKM, EPDM (water/steam) and silicone (food/pharma).
- Stainless case option (R1V) — 316 stainless outer for corrosive environments.
Shaft & fitting
Sealing lip and garter spring face the lubricant being retained; any dust lip faces out. Hardened, plunge-ground shaft surface (no machining lead), lead-in chamfer, and a bore chamfer to protect the OD on fitting. A worn shaft groove under the old seal is the most common cause of a new seal leaking — offset it axially or fit a repair sleeve.
