Custom Gaskets
When no standard part fits — custom-cut gaskets in any material, any geometry, from a single piece to production volume.
Overview
Made to your geometry, your material, your standard
Custom gaskets cover every application where a catalogue part doesn't exist — non-standard flanges, complex frame geometries, equipment with unique face configurations, or applications that require a material combination not available off the shelf.
We work from drawings, samples, or measured dimensions and manufacture from the full range of gasket materials: rubber composites, PTFE and modified PTFE, flexible graphite, aramid fiber sheets, metal-jacketed, and metal-inserted constructions. Industries served include aerospace, petrochemical, hydroelectric, automotive, water treatment, and pharmaceutical.
Every custom gasket order starts with a technical conversation. If you're not sure which material is correct for your fluid, temperature, and pressure, that's exactly the kind of question we answer before cutting the first part.

How to specify a custom gasket
What we need to produce your gasket
| Information Required | Format / Options |
|---|---|
| Geometry | 2D drawing (PDF, DXF, DWG), sample gasket for measurement, or dimensional sketch with ID/OD/bolt holes/thickness |
| Material | Existing material name, ASTM spec, or description of fluid + temperature + pressure for material recommendation |
| Quantity | Single prototype to production volume — both accommodated |
| Thickness | Compressed or uncompressed thickness — specify which. Include bolt load if known. |
| Standard compliance | ASME, EN, FDA, NSF, USP Class VI — indicate if certification documentation is required |
Fabrication methods
| Method | Best For | Limitation |
|---|---|---|
| CNC water-jet cutting | Complex geometries, hard materials (PTFE, graphite, metal), any size, precise tolerances | Requires digital drawing file |
| Die cutting (punch press) | High volume, simple to moderate geometries, sheet materials | Tooling cost for complex shapes |
| Hand cutting / knife | Prototypes, urgent one-offs, very large gaskets | Lower dimensional precision |
| Molding | Complex 3D geometries, gaskets with integrated sealing features, high volume | Tooling lead time and cost |
Materials
Material range — from –240°C to +1000°C
The correct gasket material is determined by the combination of fluid chemistry, temperature, pressure, and any regulatory requirements. When in doubt, specify the service conditions and we'll make the material recommendation.
